Fleas
Fleas are small insects with flat, wingless bodies. They move by jumping great distances and attaching to hosts like animals. This is why houses with pets are often more vulnerable to fleas.
Once they attach to a host, fleas will bite and feed on the blood of the host. They leave small raised bumps with symptoms that range from an irritating itch to a serious allergic reaction. You may notice the bits on yourself or you may notice your dog or cat scratching more than usual.
How To Treat Fleas
Be proactive against fleas by investing in a quality flea and tick treatment for your pets. If they do pick up fleas, consult a veterinarian to treat them as soon as possible.
